Same shit has just happened... my electric toothbrush has died, its been
on the blink for months, the start button has gone all squidgy and it
won't click on so ive been bump starting it. It was an expensive
toothbrush but i don't mind because it has lasted nearly 9 years.
Nowadays the equivalent product is controlled via an app on your
phone, just what i want at 6am!! even the product testers admit that
after a few weeks the customer would abandon most of the features so why
the fuck am i paying £200+ for a product with a 100 quids worth of
useless tech, whats the chances of it lasting 9yrs? it'll probably need a
firmware update in 9days. Ive had to buy a bottom of the range
toothbrush with zero tech for £34 Pfft!

The year is 2019. A man can't get into his Tesla because his phone is dead and the Tesla app is the only 'key' he has. He runs into a store to buy a phone charger, but his only 'wallet' is Apple Pay and his phone is still dead. Our distraught man of the future convinces the clerk to let him take the charger out of the packaging and charge his phone until it starts up so he can open his Apply Pay to pay for the charger so he can open his car.
Don't get him started on using the Nike app to tell his shoes to tie themselves. Shoes that he needs to charge at night.

The former, Laura Ashley’s where it’s at if you want to keep it real.
In reality, I believe their USP is uniqueness of colour but Dulux will have a near-enough equivalent under a different name. |
