thanks everyone for the kudos.
and Rivet head is right. I was always concerned about sugar canes not being long enough due to the way they're tagged. Then I came to understand the sizing, and my 34x34 had a 36" inseam, which is plenty for me after shrinking. |

I think all their jeans based on the 1947 start out with a pre-wash inseam of 36" (and shrink down to 32 1/2 to 33"). The bigger waist sizes (38 and bigger) start with a longer inseam (38 to 39").

I'm doing a series on my blog this week where I test out the effectiveness of Sugar Cane Vintage Wash & Premium Care soap.

![]() From today's post -- Hawaii's pre wash. I'll be dead in a grave before I get picky about "preserving" a patch on a pair of jeans. The hair on hide, however, holds up better than I thought it would. |

Damn, I wish Sugar Canes came in longer inseams. One cold wash and they are too short for me. : (

My size 38's shrunk down to about a 36/37 length and 36.5 waist after cold soak and hanging several times. I eventually had them hemmed to a 32 by Self Edge.

No, actually I still have a enough length for a small cuff if desired. I'm pretty long in the spine. ![]()
