@jeansus, Yes, a member here "Lefty" cut the suspender buttons off his Blacksmiths with a simple wire/pliers type cutter. the button separated easily and left only a small hole. I don't think it impacted the jeans any more than that.

If your struggling with that approach just run a drill through the center and they should separate.

I managed to get them off with a set of bolt cutters in just a few minutes with no trouble at all.

Whilst I am more of an "adding suspender buttons" guy rather than a remover, I have to give respect when a fella modifies his jeans with bolt cutters.

If they are still selling, it would be made in Pakistan- The company that bought a controlling share in the company- years ago- has a sewing factory and denim mill. I suspect the non- compete Hodis had with the Pakistan company, is probably expired........I wouldn’t be shocked if you start seeing Rising Sun inspired clothing coming out of Runabout. |
