There's a lovely cast iron Victorian version in my folks garden, i restored it for them last year, it still works perfectly.

This was in Nova Scotia (New Scotland) My
cousin got it second hand during the 50's and was used at the cottage
during the summers. His daughter was still using it up till the mid 90's. It's been sitting in the shed until I carried it out to test washing my jeans. I was amazed when i plugged it in and it still worked. I like its logo, should be on a shirt outdoor drying was still required |
