Is she^ a "woman in workwear" or is she a model who has been dressed by a stylist?.
Who actually put the wear into that type3 or those jeans? I don't think it was her.
That was my point and prolouxsie has kindly explained her reasons.

No sir, I hope those brands, and many others, continue and prosper.

I just hope there are more folks buying them but taking themselves less seriously (recalling that 'nothing but clothes' discussion).

We don't live in some other era despite how hard we cling to romantic aspirations - those selfsame aspirations that the aforementioned brands use to promote and hype (yet another old debate) their products to fit into that lifestyle we create to accommodate the marketing we claim to despise.

It's not genuine - it's a notion. But it's something we all choose - both knowingly and unwittingly by parts.

Even the clothes that you and I prefer were once fashion . . . and we're 'styled'.

There's a small square in Glasgow (Royal Exchange Square where it's traditional for the statue of the Duke of Wellington to wear a traffic cone on his head) that for a while was popular for dozens upon dozens of goths to hang out. My niece was one. She took a lot of time to put on make up and dress to be different - a very serious business. I couldn't spot her in the throng - everyone looked the same. And she was mightily pissed when I stupidly mentioned that . . .

Some classic shots taken from that Shorpy site.  The first one isn't necessarily workwear, maybe more adventure wear?  I'm curious what a 1920s woman would keep in that hip pocket on her skirt.
