that's a score for a mere 60 bucks.
I have a TCB version of the same design. I love it and wear it loads, it's a great piece to have and works well also as a layer under heavier coats.

Compared to what other similar companies are offering, this one is much closer to the real thing.

is that the ATF dungarees?

Their Deck Jacket looks good. I was interested in the comments made about stencils, and why they haven't put the U.S.NAVY on the back of theirs. I've recently picked up a cheap secondhand Pike Brothers one, also without the stencil. I'd like to put one on, and have googled all the images I can on them. Most seem to have exactly the same stencil on the back, making me think they were all done properly in the factory. ATF think differently though, although their reasons are mixed ...

At the Front We will not have US NAVY on the back. After all the caterwauling over the Air Corps stencils on B10's years ago, we are making them sterile. The stencils were done at the Navy yard or by ship crews- not in the factory. Not all jackets got them so this is also correct. This will DIY and then we won't have to fight with the experts over whether or not the letters are the right font, the right size, 1/4" too low, 3mm off center, what's the pantone color of the ink....
At the Front I've never had or seen a white stencil. They are a very light gray with a bit of metallic(?) something. (That doesn't show in the photo.) If you wear one of these out in public with the US NAVY on the back, it'll be "thank you for your service" all damned day. I know, a few people crave that but most of us get annoyed.

I'm happy with the Pike Bros one. It has niggles ... the sleeves feel long, and square ended. There isn't a taper in to the knit cuff. Other than that a good fit.

nice find for the jacket!

about the paint/colour of the markings on the blue jackets ATF is right: I own some period blue stuff with USN stencils and they are in a silver-like colour

also for the frequence of the stencils on the back i`m pretty certain that not 100% of garment was stenciled on the back but the ones I saw / owned looked like professional applied - factory work

I recently purchased a 37J1 USN flight jacket from Asia

manufacturer is located in China and much more reasonable priced than the Japanese repops

as per the quality the outer shell is made from jungle cloth (or something similar) - all nicely done and at least compared with the the very few available original-pics on the www the jacket looks very detailed

size is 44 - which is btw the largest size available at that manufacturer ...

i'm 1.90 mtr (equals 6"3) and my weight is about 95 kg

does anyone know wether som epics with the jackets with noseart / markings / squadron patches exist?

4444design - the jeans are SC 47's....did not pop on the ATF dungarees. I have two other pairs of USN repro dungarees and one original 1940's WWII era pair already.

A crappy cell phone photo of my Freewheelers Deck Jackets. Very happy with 'em. The quality of the jackets is very top notch and they are keeping me warm. Actually some of the times probably even too warm.

Thank you SLAB2. Trying to get a bit more active in this forum, I guess. The FW jackets have been very much in use at these neck of the woods. Very pleased with 'em.
