...anyway, whatever they are, they're not original Levis 501's made between 1960 and the 90's, which this thread is intended for discussing about...

hi, just grabed these deadstock 501 for under a 100 bucks, these must have been made around the mid 70s.
there is no care tag inside,
the print on the frontpockets liming only read 16056 1006 14 501 38 34,
the button back shows of no digit,
the back pockets come single sitch

i just wonder when levi introduced the tear of tag

sorry for the crappy photos, i try do some better on during the weekend

Interesting ...

That tear off tag you're referring to came in around 1970 (see page 1)

That's another great score Sympathy, and under 100 bucks! - where did you get em (?) and can we have alot more pics please!

Fantastic mate, l'm very jealous of your vintage finds. You ever want to sell them, please let me know, as with a little weight gain, l could make 'em work!

I think that despite still sporting a jacron patch, these 501's were made around 1970-1972. I think that they are more than likely the day 501 E model (see page 1)
Can we have a photo of the pocket stamp and back of buttons on fly and waistband?
TIA

here is the one on left next to another 70s pair, watch for the different shape of the red tab fonts and the different shades of orange/pink flasher, another curios thing is the that the watch pocket of the pair shown right features the selvage line...
