It was a nippy 2C when i left the house this morning which has prompted me to start this thread.

Im a big fan of that mid 70,s Scandinavian, folkie, outdoor vibe, but im not just talking snowflakes and reindeer knits here, im talking submarine sweaters, 40,s style tank tops, mittens, fisherman's ganseys, woolly hats, the cozier the better.

Im not the slightest bit interested in that Angora Batwing lurking at the back of your closet, Keep your opinions about 'The Sweater Shop' to yourself and that harlequin Pringle v-neck safely under lock and key.

I am interested in SNS, RMC, Canadian Sweater Co, RRL, Inverallan, Jamieson ect...
C'mon lets hear of your experiences.

Im sure mr randal will be just Itching to contribute.

Duke is spurning my advances so here in his honour is his superlative piece of knitwear by Freewheelers.

...and here is my much loved Dale of Norway next to Lady-Souls old hand framed fairisle leg-warmers, they double-up as pedal guards for biking y'know?

North Sea Clothing are worth a look. Sold in Vintage Showroom and elsewhere.

Quite expensive but seem to be a small London based brand and made in England with British wool.

I own 2 knits of SNS Herning and have a cardigan of Dehen on the way. I also plan to pick up a NSC knit for this winter. Absolutely love the Freewheelers knit wear for this winter season (especially the two tone collar knit) but unfortunately too expensive for my wallet

Good idea soulboy.

I have a couple of Armor Lux fishermens jumpers, those that buttonup on the left shoulder. One is plain navy and the other is a nautical blue with white hoops 'Hello sailor!' number. I think they're great, warm and fairly slim cut (for jumpers anyway).

The Dehen 1920 stuff is great. I have one of their shawl collar sweater coats. I'll try and get some flicks up later.

Here's my flat head sweater. I love it, the color is better than just navy, there are strands of green, purple, etc that you can't see from afar but looks great up close.

Ben- That fits very nicely. Many years ago I used to own the almost identical sweater that i bought vintage by 'Bracken Country Wear' Its uncanny.
Unlike yours, It became horribly misshapen with a long torso and short sleeves Unhappy

Maynard- ^^Ive never pictured you as the John Paul Gaultier fragrance bottle before, but i will now, and thats no bad thing let me tell 'ya.
