I don't recall ever seeing it j-w, i'll have a butchers around the webz and see what i can dig up, don't hold your breath. Panhead said that you can size down 1" on these (mainly because there was a NOS 31" on Yahoo and i thought it would be too trim) so i look fwd to your fit pics, i think they'll look great with your triple pleat. Jesus! 39" inseam? you'll be able to sell the off-cuts to the meth-heads at the local trailer park as a matching denim miniskirt and boob tube. I caught your M41200 post on Reddit, ive never read Reddit before until today, the fuck's going on there?... Nice jeans where did you get them? 'Yahoo' Did you get them from ebay? 'Yahoo' Yahoo has auctions? Nice jeans where did you get them? Its like Monty Python... ![]() |

Ive just read the entire internet cover to cover there's no sign of the 'instruction booklet' i did find this blog, it's nothing we don't already know but it does say "you should expect 5-6cm in the waist and 7-9cm on the inseam with a regular wash" that's a size 30" waist so i think you'll be alright. ...lots more pretty pictures here (scroll down) no coin pocket selvedge on these which is a nice, often overlooked touch.

Yeah, had to do a double-take on the coin pocket to make sure it wasn’t cut sideways ‘60s-style. Were non-selvedged coin pockets standard at some point? When did this stop being the case? First I’ve seen it, I think, with the fabric cut in this orientation, but I don’t look at many pre-war jeans.
Reddit’s completely fucked. I used to post there lots, first when I was new to the whole scene then continuing for another while answering questions and trying (often in vein) to slow or prevent the spread of misinformation; at some point it just got too repetitive and tiring, but I still try to add some content now and then to skew it that little bit back away from skinny jeans and ultra-tapered nonsense. Folks there are lazy as all hell when it comes to doing their own research—even when that just means scrolling down half a page—but the interest in the hobby is there, for sure. |

update: Not a ton of shrink in these, at least initially. Can confirm that sizing down probably would've worked out just fine, but this'll do too.
Waist and inseam both went down 2" to 33" and 37", respectively; leg opening just dropped a measly 1/4" down to just a bit below 10". Cuffs are looking saucy. Photos to come.

Embrace the loosness, more material=better value for money ![]() I don't think there was a date as such but i don't often venture too far pre-30's plus there aren't many examples of Levi's from this era online especially where you get to see the inside of the coin pocket. We would have to get the old band back together for some more denimbro-detective work, my CSF-46's doesn't have a selvedge coin pocket so based primarily on this i would say pre-66 it wasn't always the case but repro-companies slap a selvedge id in the coin pocket as a matter of course. Disclaimer, its 6.30am and i haven't had a coffee yet so i'm struggling to count to 11... |

Good jeans Julian. If they’re supposed to be 1910-period accurate, shouldn’t they have a cinchback and possibly only a 3-button fly with non-branded buttons?

Non of the 98 m-series are period accurate Martin, up to 1998 they were all about accuracy but the 1998 series are a loose 'Sugarcane' interpretation, from what i can gather the 1st M41119 are 66-esque, the 2nd^ M41200 are 1910, the 3rd M41300 are described as an 'Original Model' but it's as near as damn it a 47 cut and the 4th M41400 are a 50's cut paper patch model.
