No problem Julian, share the wealth i say.
I'm probably going to keep them for posterity or maybe sell them on as a collection if or when my interest wanes. Ive already spent a good few years wearing the shit out of M41001's.. all bought 'vintage' ...and i think ive had a few more pairs besides. It was only when i bought this pair years ago with the laurel leaf buttons, thinking somebody had replaced the 'standard' fly that i went on the hunt for the ever elusive deadstock laurel's. They met a grizzly end climbing out of a window on some adventure.. Ive trashed some others (easily done with vintage 100% cotton thread) sold a pair to killer-b and ive probably got one vintage pair left along with the raw's... oh, and a pile of pre lawsuit SC-47's in various stages of wear |

Wowza! Didn’t know you had so many of those. How many pairs of jeans do you have in total now? Inquiring minds demand to know...

I'm afraid i can't make you feel any better about your denim stash
Martin. Bad or maybe good thing in my favour, i rarely retire jeans (i
don't see the point) and never rotate, i just wear one pair for work and a different pair for home, same jeans every day, i wear them till they
disintegrate and chuck em in the bin, rinse repeat so i throw at least 2
pairs of jeans away every 2 years. I gave a few pairs away when we
moved house (those size 33 Hawaii's and wot-not) and those Junky 46's
were the first pair of jeans ive bought for 3yrs...that said ive
probably still got close to 20 pairs.

That’s more or less my approach Neal
Probably the only difference is that I’ve kept a couple of pairs when I feel they’re done (for sentimental reasons), but normally as you do I just wear then trash The challenge I have is that a fair bit of my denim is of a particular style - not just basic straight leg five pocket stylee - so it also dictates a lot of what else I wear with the denim/jeans |

Its just more shit that you have to keep, i look at it this way Mike...
they cost a lot of money and they're the most important thing in
the world at the time but once that time has passed and they get put in
the cupboard you'll never appreciate them again.. much like your wedding
photo's not that we have any wedding photo's. If
an occasion ever arises when my mrs says "the weather is terrible and
there's nothing on tv, can we get your battered old jeans out" then i
might have to re-asses. |

Well we don’t have much sentimentality over wedding pics or that sort of thing either You have your own particular style, one that works for you very well. I’m all over the place with jeans, denim trousers and dungarees from 1910s-1960s ... my choice, my problem. But regardless and as you say, when they’re done they no longer have any worth and that doesn’t bother me in the slightest |

Those M41001 are beautiful Neal. Never knew how dark that denim was when new (or nearly new) and those arcs ..
