Waist: 35"
Front rise: 13"
Rear rise: 16.5"
Thigh (at crotch): 13.75"
Thigh (2" down): 13.5"
Hem: 9.75"
Inseam: 38.5"

These are tagged 33x36.
After a trip through the machine on warm and a few minutes in the dryer on cool:

Waist: 32.25"
Front rise: 12.25"
Rear rise: 15.25"
Thigh (at crotch): 13"
Thigh (2" down): 12.75"
Hem: 9.5"
Inseam: 33"

Trying them on for the first time now…

Always the most frustrating thing about washing jeans for me. How to shrink waist and spare the rise?

Yep, always sad how that goes.

Actually, in this case the measurements had me a bit worried—the rear rise, in particular. Wearing them, now, the rise feels much higher than the measurements would have me believe. They feel slightly higher in front and slightly lower in back than my R01 (memorial cut) Roy jeans, which are probably have the most similar top block to these, overall, of all of my jeans. The measurements for both rises are appreciably smaller here, but they feel remarkably similar when worn. Go figure.

TBH I wasn’t surprised seeing you in them although I do prefer the Flamingoes

Sugar Cane's 1946 Junky Special

100 pairs of these were made, each pair is a 'one of a kind' as you can see from the individual wonky pocket stitch.

They're modeled after a deadstock pair of 46's from the Toyo Enterprise archive belonging to Mr. Ryoichi Kobayashi, the DS pair can be seen here courtesy of Clutch Magazine

The denim was loomed especially for this run of 100 and if you look at this worn example the texture looks to be leaning more towards WWII.

Anyway... here's some more photo's..

They have a lovely hand made feel..

Warehouse have also reproduced Mr. Ryoichi Kobayashi 46's both brands incorperating this beautiful double run-off but i think you'll agree... This pair of SugarCane's looks a lot less sterile, sorry WH fans but it just does.

Exactly the same as the pocket bags on the original, no union label here

Most of the buttons are quite tarnished

I always felt the CSF patch could have been better although it does age wonderfully, very happy with this green inked beauty

There you have it... I know i said i was going to buy another pair of CSF 46's but ive had 2 pairs and they will always be there should i want another (hopefully) whereas these wont. In some ways i prefer this repro, they've nailed some of the details better but CSF will always have that unbeatable thrown together edge, in the best possible way of course. Price wise there ain't much in it.
I wish they had a tab...oh and i would kill for some arcs

Little bit more information from the Junky blog

...there was also a 1946 (SC1946) 506XX which is as rare as rocking horse shit.

Doc, this^ Typ1 was the result of their button back research which i posted last week, the button fronts are even better than the backs!

Interesting choice Neal, I’m sure you won’t be bumping into many others wearing the same pair. They look good, is the cut similar to the SC47?
