I was looking at getting a gingham jacket after coming upon this one by Chimala: http://unionmadegoods.com/Chimala_Gingham_Check_Jacket__8689.html. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions aside from the Heller's Cafe version: http://www.ware-house.co.jp/?page=item&ic=44036.  Also, is the Heller's Cafe one completely sold out?  I like the pleated version of Chimalas but the distressing is throwing me off.  Canyone anyone attest to the quality of Chimalas clothing?

Chimala is sick. I've never come across the men's clothing though.  Quality is nice.

Hi all,

I was thinking lately (since my gf want to buy a sewing machine) about making my own denim shirt.

I found already few ideas, vintage buttons, a 1940's and a 1970's sewing patterns.
I'm just not sure where I could find the best denim fabric. I found already a biological one, a raw dark blue 7.5oz. But if you've got some good fabric websites. I'm really open-minded.  

If you're ok with that, I will post all the different steps about the shirt making.

Bob, if you pull up the picture on a third party site (like statigr.am) you can do the usual right click, copy image url.  Instagram tries to make it difficult, but other instagram-viewer sites don't.
I make things out of leather.
