Now that I think about it, it's a bit hard to explain. But generally can be used where you would otherwise say 'thanks' or 'well done'.

I got my first "hows your food tasting tonight?"  I guess that's better than "How we doing?"   As that could mean a thousand things.   

I'm a huge non-fan of "reach out."   Use "contact"   is it so hard to say, I'll contact?

I also can't stand ,  "Have a good one."    Have a good what?   Day?   Life?   Pooh?

I've only ever once seen a person use 'reach out' (and that was on this site) - I struggled to contain my laughter. Where do you guys hang out that such linguistic absurdities are commonplace enough to cause irritation instead of amusement?
