Did a little searching, found these photos that seem to be from 2013 and the reddit post mentioned that the jeans were a limited run of RS for AB Fits. I couldn't find anything else.
It's a shame what happened to Cone, I would've loved for Roy to continue developing fabric with them. Just makes you wonder what's next whenever the Black Seed runs out as well as the other one off rolls he has laying around the workshop.

Kiya told me it's an experimental run from 2003 that Cone developed for Levis but was never used.


This sounds like the same fabric- Rising Sun used for the small run of A.B Elfelts, back in 2010.
I’ve heard stories of the good ol Cone days, back when they made custom (cool fabric) I guess Cone
Was sold around 2006-07 IIRC, this I hear signaled the end of the custom small runs of fabric.

I know it's a tapered model, but I'm interested in seeing this experimental Cone for the upcoming Self Edge release.

Yeah, not cheap that’s for sure. But it’s pretty cool essentially having some Roy x LVC jeans.
