^ Awesome!

Picked up these LVC 1966 501s from the Roden Gray sale. I had no idea how they'd fit, but for $65 I figured I'd give them a shot. Size 29 - I was sure they'd be too small. I was surprised to find that pre-soak they were a couple inches too big in the waist, and after a long hot soak they're perfect!

what IH jean mr randal?  kinda surprising.  any reason?

Posted By: mr randal
Date Posted: 25 Feb 2012 at 8:42pm
The standard one. 634S? 643S?

Reason: It's a great denim and a great cut. Not too tight, not too loose. I went true to my waist size, which I think is looser than most people wear it, and it fits like a classic '50s jean, minus the extra material at the top of the ass.
I mostly wear my LVC jeans for work, and have been wearing the IH the rest of the time.

Posted By: tvshooter
Date Posted: 25 Feb 2012 at 8:56pm
it's a great fit on you!  for some reason i thought IH would not be at the top of your list, dunno why (maybe all the LVC stuff).  i tried on Farhad's 18oz beatle busters, i can see why so many people like them.  but still, i don't see myself owning a pair anytime soon.

Agreed!

I was surprised too to see him in IH (not one of my favorite brands), but I must say, he wears it better than anyone else I've ever seen.  Amazing what sizing right, and hemming can do for a brand!

sailor- where u at?  i'll send you some of the chilly rain we've been having here lately.  i don't know how to dress round here no more.  one day it's mid-80's, next it's low 40 with rain sideways

Denim sailor your fits are always spot on, looking good!  Beard is looking good as well.  How many months growth is that?  Yes, somebody please send us some rain in CA,  dry, dry, dry.

Is that a french way of doing things to have the cuff of the jackets button towards the body?  When I got my Mister Freedom ranch blouse I thought the sleeves were put on backwards at first.
