For rare or super cool vintage pieces. No links to your own listings or to repro pieces that denimbros might be bidding on! Or else DB dunce cap.

I remember somewhere someone was wanting a FFA jacket, but this person of interest just put up a ton of rad vintage denims on eBay.

two of my favorites:

I almost pulled the trigger on the denim jacket.... I hesitated thinking it would be too snug and wouldn't be worth the risk. Now I regret it but it looks like someone snatched it up. Lone bidder. Was that anyone here? If so, hit me up if you aren't happy with it and I'd be happy to buy it for a fair price.

Wah-Maker is a brand of Old West reenactor clothing.  Decent, not amazing quality mostly made in the US.  Various pants, shirts, and vests.  Lots of material choices in varying levels of historical accuracy.  River Junction and The Gentlemans Emporium seem to have pretty comprehensive stock.  That particular pair seems to be their very common canvas pants available in a few colors.

I doubt Levi will end up bidding on this- They have a tool pocket Levi from pretty much the same time period- If I had to take a guess- they might end up being displayed at inspiration- This is just a guess?

Boooooooo!! The bid was up to 30K when somebody must have made a huge buy it now offer- I asked the seller a couple of questions that he never answered....Pants appear to be from the 1880's looking at the crotch rivet picture- Lets hope the buyer was from Seatle? if so- maybe we can have a look at them at Inspiration?

I don't blame the seller. I've turned down good money before only o have an auction end high with the winner backing out after the auction ends. And when you are selling something on ebay in the tens of thousands of dollars, I have to think the risk of no payment is pretty damn high if someone other than one of the well known heavy hitters wins it.

More often you see it on duck- but I've seen it 3 times on denim pieces- the 1873 duck pant was modeled from a duck pant that dates to around 1892-93

Do you think it was an overlooked detail on the "oldest oldest"? Mine doesn't have those.

Posted By: Dr_Heech
Date Posted: 16 Dec 2013 at 1:49pm
Thanks to the work of Sansome (and NR), we now know that alot of the early pre-beltloop Lvc waist overalls are inaccurate, the oldest/oldest being one of the worst offenders unfortunately.

Those original 1870 Levis are unbelievable- even have the selvedge inside the cinch strap!

Posted By: Sansome
Date Posted: 16 Dec 2013 at 5:23pm
Most of the LVC mistakes are in giving the garment a date- like the 1890's really should be a 1893-94
The 1879 oldest XX is really from around 1888-89
details sometime are off- wrong labels ect.....
Their denim pullover is pretty much spot on when it comes to a accurate reproduction
I believe that their duck pullover was pretty accurate as well.

Anyone see the turn of the century kids pair of 203's or 204's on ebay. Look up 1890's one back pocket Levi's- the seller is claiming that these are from the 1890's- this seems highly unlikely- I believe kids overalls would continue to have one back pocket well after the turn of the century.....why would a kid need two hip pockets? The label on this pair sujests that it dates from 1900-1910. The pant has been sewn up, so it's anyone's guess how much these will go for- it looks like the seller is going to let the auction go until the end- unlike that tool pocket that was pulled after it reached 50K

Just had a listing removed from ebay for brand name violation. It was a Buzz Rickson Pea coat.

The brand names I used ?  Buzz Rickson,  Sugar Cane and Mister Freedom.  Essentially all the same company .

They only do this when someone reports it to them. What a cock.

I remember that I had some problems searching for Buzz Rickson items previously on ebay. I think it was on ebay.de and I was looking for B-10s. I knew for sure that there were some jackets for sale but they wouldn't be displayed on the site.

it is coming from portlandia, maybe it's shipped in an artisan made box with single eddition box art, where the plates for the art were destroyed after printing? OR a single forest (think single malt, single barrel, etc..), sustainably harvested, wood shipping crate held together with blacksmith forged iron nails? OR it's just CYA in case someone from the other side of the world bought it?

Either way, killer shirt.

I think that's a reasonably priced. I had my sniper set at $150 and was intending to give it to my wife had I won- even though she's not really in to vintage these days.

Glad it went to a good home.

Interpreting Ebay in the title of this thread as meaning auction sites in general I'll post some items I had just found on Yahoo Auctions that might of interest to some members.

Freewheelers Brakeman coat and A-1 I had listed in the FWs thread.

A nice used black horse hide jacket by Old Joe in 36. Start price is 34,833 and auction end Wednesday morning Japanese time:
