Hello!

I tried to shrink my Levi's Vintage Clothing by hand washing them at 50°C (the maximum recommended by Levi's is 30°C but the jeans were too big). This happened with the rivets:

How do I remove that blue-green color that the rivets now have? I imagine it is rust due to the high temperatures.

Man.. I think that rivets are past away lol I think you've gonna remove that rust by chemicals..maybe

It's not rust.  Rust is oxidation of iron alloys.  These are copper rivets, the oxidation is verdigis (think statue of Liberty).  If you are buying LVC, especially these days, you are likely into the 'old timey' workwear esthetic, and this effect is considered  a feature not a bug. I hope you are not mortified by diagonal fading across the thighs (hige, or whiskers), or fading over lumps and bumps (atari).  If it really bothers you, a little Brasso on a rag will take care of it.
