I have a pair of raw Levi’s (shrink to fit) jeans, I want to prevent them from bleeding on shoes and furniture and I would like them to stay as dark as possible. I'm not particularly interested in fades on raw jeans. AFAIK, the vinegar causes the dye to set. I will soak them in a bathtub with some white vinegar for cleaning and water. But what's the ratio of white vinegar to water? Is it better to use sea salt? |

Thanks. And what does the forum think about the use of white vinegar and/or salt for this purpose? Is it an urban legend as I have read on some websites or is it really effective?
Does the vinegar or salt damage the denim? Is what we should all know for sure. |
