Probably because this is the 3rd "introduce yourself" thread on the forum.

Maybe a "introduction" thread should be stickied, I used the forums search function and did not find one thread using "introduce" or "introduction" as keywords. and searched a few pages. So, my bad

Out of the three threads we now have none of them have the word introduction in the thread title which your quite right aint helping the situation. I don't think there is enough activity in any of them to justify a sticky, they just need combining.
Welcome to the forum man.

I'm Nathan, but you folks may call me Nate. I'm 19, and I've been interested in the denim/workwear look for a few years now. My interest became more serious last summer when I found a couple of chambray shirts that belonged to my great grandfather who passed away in a mining accident in 1947 in the back of my grandparents' coat closet. I was impressed with the quality of these two shirts. I decided that the vintage workwear look was for me, as I feel it reflects a sense of character that modern garments do not. Since that time, I've acquired a few pieces, mostly sugar cane and buzz rickson, and, as are most of you, I am interested in expanding my knowledge of denim and eventually expanding my wardrobe. Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning a lot.

Born 1963, which probably makes me "the elder ". Have prefered the working style since the 70s. Back then it was hard. Now with the net its like christmas. I prefer FW for the moment like everbody else but also have Stevenson, Dappers, RS, MF, Blue Blanket, Toughness and some odd things from Well-co, RRL, Kapital. I do of course support Hollows and CircleAbrand. I dont post much, mostly because posting pictures is such a hazzle. It says MrWorkingMan but You can call me Al.

Hey Bros, I'm Jordan. I've been a denimhead since high school (in wore the same 47's I found at a thift store nearly every school day) but only in the last few years did I realize affinity for good jeans and workwear was actually a thing that people gathered around. I live in Portland, Oregon currently working in speciality coffee and getting my master's degree in theology (a mix of philosophy, history, and religious studies).
been wearing through a pair of Sugar Cane 2014's for the last 10 months. I am really digging the depth of color and the almost green hue graininess that they're producing. I'll post some pics in the Sugar Cane thread if anyone is interested.

Hello.
I've been a denim nut for longer than I care to think, and when a fellow jeans crazy friend mentioned this forum to me recently, he was astonished that I wasn't active on it yet. So I set this right and here I am. Live in Berlin, Germany. My taste is for classical cut, tight fitting jeans, the more ruined, the better. Fave brands besides the 501s I wore exclusively for many years: PBJ, Sugar Cane, Flat Head, Japan Blue, Iron Heart, Fullcount. Look forward to new denim clad friends, lots of info and many a temptation on the market pages.

Hey all,
My name is Isaac and I'm from LA, CA. Got my start with raw denim through Rising Sun & Co when they were based in Eagle Rock. Made friends with them (Mike Hodis & Khue) and they even sponsored a band that I managed for a little while. I have a cool brown twill blazer that was a one off prototype that Khue gave me.
I'm a huge fan of denim, I don't have much of a collection of raw denim yet, but I'm eager to get my next pair. Currently breaking in a Naked & Famous left hand twill jacket that I scored on amazon for $72!
Been reading for a while on these forums, figured I would register and introduce myself! Thanks.

Hey y'all, about time I did this...
Long time lurker and some-time poster under a previous moniker but want to make a fresh start and contribute to this forum.
Bit about myself;
I've always disliked the high-street "fashion" peddled out multiple times a year and searched in vain for a long time to find the right clothes that suit me and match my personality. A few years ago I stumbled upon work-wear and the plethora of different types, styles and brands. Slowly I started buying bits from Nippon as a wee, small guy, I thought they'd fit better - which they do!
I'm an naturally consummate researcher and love collecting old photograph books, signs, advertising and "slice of life" photographs from way-back-when.
I'm a trainee art teacher and illustrator by trade, and as I'm getting increasingly more obsessed by this whole thing I find it bleeding into my work. As a teacher I doubt I'll be posting my fluggly mug on'ere, but I do on occasion post my visage on Insta, which a few of you kind souls follow.
I like the temperament of this forum, and the wealth of knowledge and most importantly the passion you lot have for work-wear and all that entails. I hope to contribute as much as I can.
Mark

Hello all!
It's about time that I joined officially. My name is Liz, many know me as "Liz Tailor" from Levi's. I worked for them creating custom jeans for the Lot#1 program. But that is the past, I am now currently working on my own production in Greensboro, NC: home of Cone Denim, Wrangler, and now Mary James & Co. Mary James & Co. will be the next actually handmade garment on the market. Stay tuned for more.
