I'm guessing either Foremost, or possibly Crown (?)

All the Foremost and Crown I've seen have (levis-like) square back pockets.
Lee would by 30's have X-bartacks instead of rivets, also Lee cinch would be higher up and look different.

Will have to get my books out...

The brand of those jeans in the previous page have been buggin' me all day. I am at home with a flu, so had some time in hand and decided to write a post on the subject to my lately highly neglected blog...

http://mydenimblog.wordpress.com

I went through all my books and magazines of Vintage denim - there's a lot of 1930's jeans with: cinch, belt loops, arcuates and a small "white" tab. However, almost all have square pocket design. Such as the Crown here:

Conclusion... It's definitely maybe one of these:

Can anyone point me to photos of 1920s era Levi's being worn (aside from what I posted on page 39)? It seems documentation of the everyday worker wasn't as prominent as it was until the late 30's-40's when it really kicked off?

Aho, l couldn't see any Levis pics on page 39 (although a few Foremost brand levis lookalikes).
l'm in the same boat as you re- difficulty in finding old photos of 1920's Levis being worn. All searches lead to mid to late thirties onwards, and even then not many with the exposed back pocket rivets. Shame about that as the 1922-28 model 501XX is my favourite obsession. Please post any you do come across. When my laptop comes back from the menders, l will do the same.

Doc, hopefully these work?

Arcs on the first pair are suspect, a bit taller and deeper than most Levi's I've seen, so it may be a competitor? Photo was from San Francisco though, so it's possible they're Levi's

Hi aho, apologies for the confusion. I can see those photos on page 39 ok, but l don't think that any of them are Levis (Foremost maybe). Your repost confirms this. The arcs aren't so much arcs, more 'V's, in the first repost and the second pair have a yoke cinch-back (as opposed to the levis style waist cinch) and there's too many belt loops. Plus the yoke seam is overlapped.

Got my laptop back but cant find any true 1920's models being worn
