From a Rodeo around 1941 apparently.
I can identify at least two pairs of 1930's bucklebacks (his'n hers) without a tab. Her jeans are most likely 701's. I suppose the first version of these came before the red tab was introduced in 1936. The dude on the fence IMO has WWII 501's with a tab.

Great find DE, they must be (apart from the date) as no 'diamond' in the arcs. The other two pairs look like 37-41's with tabs removed imo.

The photographer's name is Marion Post Wolcott, there seem to be 50 photos total from the same set, or at least the same ranch same year, here.

Thanks Hollows! If the photos are indeed from a Dude Ranch I wonder if the jeans were given for guests to use. They seem to be all so similar pairs of Levis.
