Is anyone making something like this these days? I recall Black Sign had some a while back, sadly not big enough to fit me.

A few brands have done them here and there, maybe also Old Joe or Phigvel but nobody consistently makes them, off the top of my head.

Adjustable Costume http://adjustablecostume.jp/ca19/605/p-r-s/ I have the Black Sign one. The only bad thing about them is that if you want the collar on, you have to keep it buttoned up all the way. Also, need to make sure the collar doesn't get lost in the laundry

Thanks, Gents.
Specifically it's the workwear/railroad version of the collarless shirt that I desire. Indigo color with dot strip or mini polka dot. The Black Sign was the closest I've seen to that. I'm envious, Mr. Q!!!

Ah, no wabash on mine, it's the dressier white bib-front version. The only wabash workwear one I've seen is from Warp & Woof in Tokyo, they had a black wabash one. Doesn't look like they offer it anymore, though. Oh! Looks like TCB has one!! And the way they have it, you can keep the collar unbuttoned on top.

You know, Mr. Q, it was probably Warp & Woof that I was thinking of. I saw the shirts on The Wildone store site. They even went on sale but alas not my size...
I'll check out the TCB version. Thanks!

I once had some made-to-measure shirts that I ordered from England around 1970. One was for a detachable collar, which, frankly, were a pain. The others had stiff collars not available anywhere in this country as far as knew. The were "Trubenized,' which I think was a trademarked name for a fused fabric collar. They weren't work shirts, though.

It is a bit of a pain. I usually just wear it as a band collar. The TCB implementation looks much better though. I wish they had a contrast collar or other collar shape options too |
