Plus rep for Cosmos and Heart of Darkness, two very fine books if I might say.

I recently watched Old Boy, a South Korean mystery, intrigue, revenge type of thing. It's not normally what I watch but it was really good.

The Inbetweeners - British teen comedy, lots of penis and vagina jokes. I love it and find myself re-watching episodes when I can't find anything else to watch because I enjoyed it so much. I think 2/3 seasons are on Netflix. 3rd season you can watch on Youtube? The movie is funny too if you finish the episodes.

The Killing - Moody crime thriller. Season 1-2 is one case, season 3 is a different case.  Season 3 probably isn't on Netflix yet. The endings of the cases can be a bit of a bummer, but it's worth the ride.

Long Way Round - Ewan McGregor and his homie go on a ride around the world on BMW adventure bikes.

Miss Representation - Might not be the right audience here, but I really loved this and anything like it. Documentary about how the media continues to portray women and how this perpetuates the status quo of women being defined by beauty and sexuality. I think even if you think feminism is stupid you should give it a watch with an open mind—

Freaks and Geeks - Because it is the best show to ever be aired on television, and NBC fucked up by canning it.

I Think We're Alone Now - A 50-year old man with Asperger's and an intersexual woman (this is how she describes herself) talk about their love for 80s pop star Tiffany. Others frame them as stalkers (and they probably are in a way), but Tiffany gives them the hope that life is worth living?  I dont know. It's weird, but I still think about it from time to time.

Hit So Hard - Documentary about Hole drummer, Patty Schemel.

Maniac with Elijah Wood is not only one of the most odd and disturbing movies i have seen in recent years. But it is also beautifully shot with care in every frame.  highly recommended and a interesting take on the typical slasher flick

and dont forget SPACE BALLS! a true cinema masterpiece

Watched "This is England" last night. I haven't been that enthralled with a movie for a while. A coming of age Skinhead story. Also deals with the split of skinheads into the more radical nationalist side. The soundtrack and wardrobes are amazing too.
