Good call on the BR. I like the BR more than the RMC one from an aesthetic point of you. I never understood why the Real McCoys gave the collar pile lining a different color than the rest of the interior lining.

The wait is killing me.   It's in Osaka Int.   I'm hoping I get it next week, although its heating up here, the nights clill off and I'll be able to give it some love.

I just picked up the Freewheelers N-1 from Hickorees (Specifically this one http://www.hickorees...ish-cotton-duck) in size Large. From a visual perspective, it seems to fit fine, but there are few issues that make me think it might be too small, but may just be standard aspects of this jacket style. I'm hoping somebody who owns this N-1, or any other (McCoys, MF, Stevenson, Buzz, Ironheart) for that matter, sees this and can offer some advice on whether it really is too small. I don't have pictures, because I feel like the issues I have won't show in pictures; The jacket actually looks very good.

1. My first issue is that I feel like i have limited mobility. the fabric is very stiff and the jacket fits slim, so I can't comfortably raise my arms above my head (or adjust the collar). Im not usually in a situation where I have to do so, but this seemed like a red flag that it may be too small. For example, my commuting bike has a relatively stretched out stance and I'm not sure it would be terribly comfortable in this position. It basically fits like a suit jacket might fit (in a sizing / slimness sense; it certainly doesn't look like a suit jacket!), which looks good but doesn't offer the best mobility.

2. The jacket isn't short, but it's not as long I thought an N-1 would be. It fits me a bit like this one http://www.selfedge....roduct_id=1175. The pocket placement feels very high and it feels awkward to put my hands in them.

Hopefully somebody can chime in and share how their own N-1 fits so I can know whether I'm being too anal and this is how this style is supposed to feel, or if it is too small. Thanks in advance.

Welp, since I posted this I decided at the Freewheelers is a bit too small for me afterall. Hickorees is not able to procure a size XL for me, which I think would fit nicely, so it's going back and I'm probably going to get the RMC version. Sort of a bummer because I like the details (and the price!) on the Freewheelers a bit more than RMC. I like the looks of the new MF, but I prefer blue to khaki / olive and don't really like the corduroy collar.

Quoise, sorry I missed your initial post. I own that jacket in size 42. But your description sounds very close to how the size 40 fit me. Very happy I waited around to find the 42, much better fit.

They didn't make that jacket in a size 44 last year, but it's possible that they will be doing it in a 44 this year. If you'd like I can check for you.

Welcome Marcus,

N-1 Deck jacket, Fit is king imo. I like a none restricting but snug fit where i can fasten all the buttons without the pull on the chest or shoulders still leaving enough room for a sweat (if you can't get a sweat underneath it fails as a winter jacket)
I think you are very lucky if you have the appropriate body shape that works with a brands sizing made especially difficult if you are rely on international retailers.

This is how my khaki RMC fits sized down to a 38".

Have any other Buzz jackets to compare sizing too?  Kicking around the idea of getting an XXL/46 N-1, if I can manage to find the funds.  You're what, a size 42? 44?
I got a rocket in my pocket and roll in my jeans

It's my first Buzz ever so nothing to compare.

I got the XXL which I think is a 44 with them.   I'm usually  a 44 in most jackets.    I'll get some pics and measurements later this week.
