Wait until you try some bulkier winter clothes on under it. I bet it will be fine.

Thanks all! Yeh it's too big so doing the bleedin' obvious today and off down Superdenim/RMc in Covent Garden to try a size 40 on.

Sooooooo….. Anyone in need of a size 42 N-1, going cheap-ish?

Id also head to son of a stag if I were yiu (or perhaps call first). They had some beautiful n1's by Stevenson overalls that IMO seemed much better than the buzz's.

Those of you who've tried the RMC Khaki N1 (looking at you, Cobblers!) how did sizing run for you?  I've heard that it runs somewhat large, but how large exactly?  I'm thinking about picking up a 38.

For reference, I'm generally between S and M for most brands.  My MF N1 in 36 is a decent fit.

Cobblers __ MIGHTY FINE FIT THERE MAN___ , you ought to cross post that to the 'how its worn' thread -- or Hollows, take note , this will certainly get the necessary 'thanks' to land it in the best of thread.

I remember this being answered somewhere before but I can't find it anymore.  Why do the navy colored N-1s have those loops in the armpits?

I believe the loops were used to attach the overalls.
They probably were left out in the later khaki N1s because it probably wasn't really necessary to attach the overalls to the jacket..
