So I'm going to get a N1 Deck jacket for this winter but haven't figured out where to get it.   Since I'm a 44 I think an original is going to be impossible to find.

Of the Repros out there, who makes a good one?

Ditto question. Pulling the trigger on an N1 too. Debating between the RMC and the newly arriving Mister Freedom. The RMC looks like a more accurate repro representation. But the MF has some cool details. Any expert opinions?

Hooligan, Pike Brothers makes a nice one. I'm actually thinking of selling mine. I lost about 30 pounds and it doesn't fit me anymore. I was about a 44-45 back then. It might be something to consider...I didn't wear it much so it's in good shape. Good grief it's warm. It saved me a couple of winters ago.

Rotten,  Can you measure it for me?   I'm interested.   The Pike Brothers are lined in wool instead of alpaca aren't' they?  I'd need a 44 ish size.

I've got the pike brothers N-1 and I'm really happy with it. Its very warm and quite bulky, although people tell me it the wool lining compresses over time. Its definitely worth a second look

I really liked my old Iron Heart version, it was surprisingly wearable as a daily jacket which some of the others I tried weren't. My buddy has the Spiewak golden fleece version which is also really nice and can usually be found at a reasonable price some places.

If you are looking for authenticity, then IMHO it is hard to beat the Buzz Ricksons. They are more true to the originals then the RMCs. But you can't go wrong with any of the N1s already mentioned here, just a matter of personal preference.

Hooligan, it's actually marked size 46. The earlier Pike Bros were marked by number, I believe now they're L XL etc. it's 26" across the chest and 27" from shoulder seam to cuff. It's still puffy, the lining hasn't settled down yet. The outside measyrement is probably significantly larger than the interior. If I remember I think I messed up and got a size too big. I'm not sure what the lining actually is.

I went ahead and ordered a Buzz Rickson's through Rakuten.   I've never ordered through them before but seems pretty easy so far.   Returns are out the question though.
