I had the first buckaroo's, but i don't remember the denim feeling this thick?
the skipper said he would get me the specs, good chance someone here might
know? Is this heavier denim that the first run, from say- 2011-12?

First 7 hours put on the jeans.

Original buckaroos were 11oz and 12oz depending on lot
The current ones are heavyweight at 16.25oz
That’s too heavy to work in for what I do in construction. Haha

So it should take twice the time to start wearing holes in them, I'll keep track of hours spent
digging, moving rocks etc......

Also the newer ones are a different cut. I forget which model the cut is based on but definitely different from the originals. They told me that at MF. Maybe the 60s cut.

No, Shred. Sorry if I gave that impression. I was excited when they reissued the Buckaroos since the early version had been one of my favorite ever jeans. I went to the store & tried the new version on & realized "Hmmm, something's not right". One of the guys explained that they'd gone with a different cut for this issue. I didn't buy them. Didn't like the way that style worked in that cut on my frame. I've come to the conclusion that 'work pants' & five pocket jeans are two different & separate entities where fit is concerned.
