Interesting how the Ranch Blouse's lost the rounded collar. Indigo chinos are looking nice, but beachy stuff and board shorts are not my aesthetic..

Factory owners can be ruthless. Just heard some douche had a batch of boots made using MF lasts. Cool. Can't really claymore factory perimeters, that's rude, so i learned to keep all manufacturing convo internal. Protecting sources is SOP in the Garment Industry, aka the Jungle.

Death to rounded collars!  This is a great victory.

The Trooper they aren't available in my size. Are they based off of a historical boot? Were they some kind of jungle boot?

I'm in the same boat, regret not picking up the speedway jeans, and I'm glad to see them back.

I got a rocket in my pocket and roll in my jeans

This link will take you to some info on US Army Jungle Boots from the Second Show

http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1110-jungle-boots-of-the-ww2-era/

The USMF is a reasonably grown up forum and covers pretty much everything.

Enjoy.

What do you think Setterman, same fabric as the speedway jeans? Looks like their both 10oz. The pique on the speedway was far nicer and more substantial than that of LVC.

Guessing the new MF might be a looser fit. The speedway jeans were on the slimmer side. Had a chance to try on a 33 in the black and it fit awesome. Very clean slim trim line. Wondering how these new ones are going to fit.......

Edit: Upon further look, I bet they are very near the same as the Speedway jeans.

Alright so I have read this, and read this again and I have to question how there is any relationship between parties (here) interested in what factory makes a particular pair of boots, and then either same apparent factory pulling a stunt like this and turning out 'after hours' batches using product specific merchandise, in this case the particular lasts, or instead another, independent, non-contracted, factory somehow actually obtaining those lasts and producing a copycat (counterfeit?) product.

If this story is indeed true, then presumably the factory in question - your factory - were not labelling them as Mr Freedom and instead were using the design to cut a quick buck - and if it is the normal 'day' factory then that must surely mean end of relations with them, if not serious legal implication. If it was a different, non-contracted factory, then how is it possible that they even obtained the specific lasts, probably the most central part of a boot manufacture other than the actual patterns.

I understand and fully see that this is a shitty deal, and I hope that you resolve the situation one way or another but I don't really think, as I say, that the curiosity here and the actions 'out there' are necessarily connected.

My knowing who makes a boot does not mean I can make it msyelf or through an independent factory - not without the lasts and patterns - nor approach the actual contracted factory and say 'hey, please make me that boot and sell it to me for less than the retail price of the brand owner'.
