Looks like Mr. Masterson has come out of “retirement.” Seems like a good reason to start a new thread.

I was one of the 6/12 pack buyers from quite some time ago.  This one is supposedly on the way to me as of last week.  Interested to see the shirt in person as the photos make it look pretty wild.

I was a 12/12 pack buyer. Received 4 shirts in 2 years. He sold other shirts to sites he never sent over to me.

I basically gave him a loan for 2 years and I'll never participate in a buy like this again.

The quality of the shirts are good and I'm happy when they arrive, but I was duped into thinking it would be a timely schedule and he basically tried to guilt me by saying some tragedy happened in his life, blah blah blah. Bottom line is you keep your obligations you made to your customers and if you can't, you keep in touch with them.

What I hate the most is he plays the victim card and tries to make it seem like I'm at fault for asking for the shirt or money back.

I think he is a complete asshole and I wouldn't trust him at all ever again. People can say "oh he's a nice guy, he didn't mean it" but I judge people by their actions and he seems entitled as fuck.

He went 8 months with no so much even a word as to what he was doing and he couldn't even keep an email account active to keep in touch with people he owed money to.

If I had his address I would have sued him.

I was really disappointed too.I bought one shirt and was soon happy, that i resisted the 6-shirt package. He declared at least three times that he had sent a new shirt and that it was lost each time - without giving me a tracking number. I filed a complaint at the very last day possible, that was when he sent I out and I got it a week later. The sleeves were way too long but I was already tired of mailing with him.

Cheers
Tom

That sucks to hear, I knew he did it to other people too.

Just to be clear because my last post wasn't, he still owes me around 1800-2000.

To be honest, it's been so long since the initial 6/12 pack orders happened I don't recall what the exact details of it were.  I of course wish the shirts would come more frequently but I'm still willing to wait as I really enjoy his work.  To be honest I have never felt like he was going to run off with my money without making good on the promise but I also totally understand why someone would come to that conclusion and would rather have their money back than continue to wait with little to no idea of when the next piece is coming.

I hear that Blood, I wouldn't have mind waiting if he was just in communication with me. I even spoke to him and told him that if he kept in contact with me, I wouldn't mind.

But emails were constantly bouncing back and he went MIA for a year.

This site announced the sale just to give you an idea how far we are talking about. Its from 2016

Time flies!

I totally get that.  I don't recall ever having an e-mail bounce back, but having that happen would definitely have me worried.

I suppose that if one were to be defensive I would tell you to fuck off. This is not the case.  The alternative  is that  this has weighed heavy on my miind and conscious for a while.   I made the last three pieces in a van. On the street.  An attempt to display my dedication. Perhaps that was not good enough. Application for distrust: Status accepted.

I like to say: You spot it if you got it.  We all burn bridges in one way or another.  It all depends on perception and what team you are on.  May the bridges I burn light the way for others.

Yes. It is true. I have had many hardships stack one on top of the other. Non stop. Some were poor decisions and others out of my control.  Needless to say I have pulled out of it.

When someone reads something like this it is heartbreaking. Not from the lack of compassion, but rather: " yes. I did these things." Not from malice, but I tried to keep promises to myself. This in turn became broken words to everyone. So there is truly no excuse I can offer that could ease your anger and frustration.  I myself am having to live with it.

This is not an attempt to diffuse this thread. I would encourage others to continue the postings. To feel free to express anything from the heart.

I believe that the most frusterating part of it is that I made a promise and took away your choice.  For me this is the sad part.  I frown upon those that have taken away my choice, thus causing me, myself to be the evil that I deplore.

The people  that believed have spoken.  I am listening.

Look. I am broke. All I have left is a rock solid core and spirit after coming out of darkness for so long. So lets make this right. We just need to work on it together. That begins with sending me an email. Say what you wish. I cannot be injured by what I have stirred.
masterson.mj@gmail.com

I have just recieved the sample for the next run. Number 47.  The ALTAR.   The order for the bulk order has been placed. Considering it took 4 months to have in-hand the sample fabric, this could take time. Not as long as the sample however.

No matter the harsh truths here. I still am forever thankful to those that desired partisipation. There is a solution to every problem. Do not hesitate.  I myself would like to wash my hands of this.  This dismay has crocked enough.

All my best
Michael

Nice to see you back 4M, I’m not sure how many 6 packs you sold? Hopefully in time you can make it up to the folks that bought in, and hope your on track to making a full recovery. I was just imagining a custom chambray tent...On the slope of the 5 freeway, one blows a tire- you climb up the slope to this tent and find you churning out fine menswear shirts... All freeway shop fantasy’s aside, good to see you back.
