Hi guys, new to the forum here. Long time LVC fan. I would like some help identifying an LVC item I got. It's a 1944 S501 with quite an unusual washing. Some pictures:

At first I thought this is a pair that got a beating in the washing machine. But, then I searched previous LVC collections and came upon this 1944 S501 pair from FW 2003:

Can anybody confirm this or maybe have more information?

Thanx, that helps! I'll check it. They will arrive later this week, so can't check it yet Smile

Kind of strange piece this, can't find anything that resembles it, other than the picture in the 2003 catalogue. We'll see!

Does anybody know, did LVC do a native american inspired collection at one time? I think that would have some very nice potential. Especially around the 1900's.

The closest thing to what your talking about, is LVC making the shirt, that the Indian is wearing in an old photo
That belongs to Levi Strauss and co....you used to see this photo all the time, I believe it’s in Lynn D’s book- images
Of America ( Levi Strauss and co) Someone had this shirt here many moons ago.

Ah, yeah I remember that one. Think it was a henley right? Anyway, would very much like LVC to explore the native american theme. Don’t know if there are stories to be told where there is a connection between Levi Strauss and native americans but, with all the amazing patterns and graphics, would make a strong collection I think.
