I’ll inquire, and see if I get an answer.

They can be yours for $500.

For that price they could properly sew the leather label, it is sewn after making the pants...

Pay attention to the details.

sorry for my ignorance, but how do you sew the patch on before making the pants?

I think it was around 1966, when they started using double stitch lock on the top of the waist.
They started to sew the leather like tag separately.

Japanese replicas always sew the tag properly.

Example from before 1966:

Example from 70s (separately)

So I was right when i suspected it would be Manchester 80's. Please stop in the 80's and go back to the first half 20th Century :)

Nice find! I also found some official lookbook pics on the French Levi’s site. I gotta say, from early pics this season doesn’t seem too exciting. That’s a huge disappointment because I definitely love the music and fashion of the Madchester and Second Summer of Love Acid House scene (UK, 1988). The fashion of the era has definitely been making a resurgence in the last couple years and feels very timely, but I also think there is such a wealth of beautiful source material for Levis to work with and not really feeling like they made the most of it.
