haha, totally. I tend to geek out hard in any hobby I do, plus there is supporting local economies/boutiques, etc. There seems to be a lot of similarity between the texture and weight of these and any of my LVC. Logically, it makes sense that Levi's wouldn't procure rolls of STF denim from two different sources. I've got another pair of Mexican Cone denim (by Bonobos - absolutely love the fit, but no selvedge

sometimes they have some gems in their mainline, such as the 17oz selvage denim 501 from last season, great fit and with a higher rise than all my 47-78 repros have. a really neat piece of denim...
for LVC I wonder if they come up with a new prize policy, since you can now find all raw denim pieces at 190,- stirling in some uk online shops, even the new 1976. |

For some reason I am having a hard time uploading my photos here. So I'll just add the link to my flickr album.
My 47 501, one of my most used pair of jeans other than my 1969 606. Wearing it for 5 months. Gave it a good warm soak after getting the jeans. Been through metal concerts with these, as well as hiked for a day on thick snow in the Alps. Before the phot was taken, it had a shower wash since I don't own a bathtub.

Whats the motivation here? why would one want mirror image jeans? to look like Kris Kross, they were cool.... wern't they? Save your dosh they'll be £30 on fleabay within a month or two. |

levi´s found some deadstock cone denim, straight from the 70s, unfortunately it was left hand
denim, the denim that always been used for Lee jeans, instead of right hand denim. so Levi´s came up with the idea, to mirror every detail, such as the denim already was... Paul T, mentioned on SuFu that not all mirror jeans will be made of that deadstock denim, though. but the new 1976 to me seems on of the best releases in the years, shape and denim look incredible authentic to me... the prices increase slightly aswell, since you can find them at 190 pound stirling. |

Yup i read Paul T's post over on sufu, i have no issue with the denim, just the Levi mirror-gimmick its dreadful!
