I seriously doubt anyone is hoarding those^^^ a friend of mine came across a dark blue denim family shirt ( medium I believe) he’s not a hoarder of those....think he sold it sort of cheap- 1k IIRC |

Amazing! Thanks! So they were getting pretty cheap by the late 90s! Presumably they were more expensive while they still had the patent in the 70s & 80s?
Davis' said he thought they could retail for three dollars in his letter to Strauss in '72.

This excellent post has some clues to where the factories were. Most of the 70's-'80's small e type-III jackets that is see in the vintage stores are stamped 524 - so maybe that was the Denison or Wichita Falls factory. Some quick googling shows that at least the Wichita Falls was running until 2001...
