I remember when Lvc brought out the 1976 model, they also did that god awful 'Mirror jean' so called because Levis suddenly 'found' some LHT denim on a loom in their vault/archive. So going by that l assume that maybe they did make clothing from LHT denim. And there's no doubting those images.

its Definitely seen a fair amount of wear so those threads are pretty washed out

Done a bit of reading last night and it seems the during ww2 cone mills had a few military contracts one of which was to provide the denim for the us navy bell bottoms , seems plausible that at whatever point during the ww2 restrictions cone had there hands full whit whatever military contract they had to fill and Levi’s just had to pick up whatever was available at cone . Just a guess obviously ????
