It really does feel like they might be intentionally obfuscating functionality to save on bandwidth, which is silly for a paid service.   I would pay extra to have my Flickr appear as it did 3 updates ago.

I used to be able to send customers there to see a nicely organized catalog of past works, but now it's like handing them a puzzle box.  Here, open this.

Photobucket is worse still, the onslaught of advertising has pushed me to breaking point, Just this afternoon I accidentally claimed for whiplash consolidated my dept and won a million quid on online poker. What's my wife going to say when the sexy Eastern European au pair turns up next week.

Facebook is it's own can of worms.
Re: photo buckets ads- yesterday I had been playing Bioshock with headphones and the sound up- later when I used PB I was mortified to suddenly subject the entire floor of my building to the boxed macaroni and cheese journey of a shrill midwestern housewife.

Do you guys not use a plug in Ad blocker? I have them installed on all my computers and mobile devices. In fact on my iPad I use a browser specifically designed for blocking ads and pop ups. Every once in awhile I might have to switch to Safari to get something to fully function but I prefer that to all the obnoxious pop up/auto play shit that's out there.

I've never liked Flickr, don't Facebook and I hate the Photobucket iPad app but for some reason I don't mind the regular web version of PB, without the ads.

I just try not to ever use sites that have ads. Seems like 60% of human activity these days is marketing,of one sort or another.

Hollows, Nice one buster!
I have been struggling with your instruction for the last few days, (you might have noticed) In the end it came down to the fact that i was using the default Safari on my new Mac, I have just configured my dock installing my usual Firefox browser (and Chrome for Yahoo Auctions) following your instruction with  Firefox it works to perfection. Thanks

If i can add to your post you don't need to right click the image URL you can drag your chosen image straight from the "All Sizes" page into the message box.

The light bulb moment came when Safari wouldn't let me drag images from google instead replacing them with a blue ? in a box like bobs post in the books thread.

Ahh, yes, I am a longtime disciple of the Church of PC/Chrome, so I didn't even really consider the hardships that might be faced by users of inferior platforms, but it seems you've navigated that wilderness.

So what would be the consensus on the best/easiest way to post pics here now?

I used to have accounts with imageshack and photobucket for this purpose, but both seem to have stopped the free service.
