Thanks for the insight CSL, the fact that these are designed with the western body build in mind interests me.
Looking forward to more info!

Despite the fact that the Stifel LVRR jacket was what i was most attracted to, this hunting jacket was what looked best on me. I haven't bought it...yet.

CSL,  thank you so much for posting this closeup. I was dying to see the details on this one.

For what it's worth, I like the corduroy collar and interesting angles of the pockets but am puzzled/ignorant about the purpose of the two giant slash-entry pockets on top of the patch pockets.

Are they simply a design detail or are they intended to warm your hands or stash a map?

HP, those are game pockets, common to hunting coats/vests
They feed into the back of the coat - which has 2 large flap pockets.

CSL, I was thinking about you and that coat. It just seems like the right one for you.

HP Sauce, I think they are game pockets. i.e. Shoot a bird, stuff it in one of your large pockets...

CSL and Co., yikes.  I would have thought that the "game pocket" was good ole Shep's gentle jaws.  But, if this is a multi-bird meal, then I reckon that's your coat.

That hunting coat will really look amazing once has a bit of your tumbleweed dust on it and takes on a golden hue.
(Or, dirty that thing up, whichever sounds better)

I think I'm going to wear the LHRR jacket harder than I normally would, just to have a reason to wash it a bit more.

The coat looks great on you, CSL!

It was the one that I was most attracted to, but blew my money on the Freenote Cloth Mackinaw instead.

I was impressed by the materials and fit of this stuff today. I will probably purchase at least one piece in the near future.
Okay
