I think Lee Japan don’t sell directly to customers outside Japan so you’d have to use a proxy if buying from them.

That's right, Lee Japan doesn't sell overseas but you can buy through Rakuten whithout the need of a proxy. Got my pair from Vintage Paradise.

I also have my eyes on the 101B Riders 1948.

And I'm still waiting for my 1952 to come back from hemming...

I picked up the 1937 Cowboy Jacket (Lot 1011-the same one as smoothsailor's I'm guessing) on Yahoo Auctions a couple of months ago for a good price. It was NOS and smelled a bit musty as it must have been in storage for about 15 years or so. I did the 'trick' of spraying it with vodka to get rid of the smell. Not sure if that worked or if it was just because of the airing/wearing but the smell seems to have gone.

There seems to be plenty of LeeJP on Yahoo Auctions, at least in the smaller sizes. I found the following link helpful in identifying the different Lot numbers for searching the interwebs:

My 101Z 1952 came back from hemming and here is a fit pick. Of course they feature the "spread ass" look like most Lee jeans do. They are a size 33

It looks like Lee Archives (Japan) are re-releasing the 1944 WW2 101B model on 21 June. I don’t think they ship internationally though so you’ll need to buy via a proxy, a friend in Japan or in person. Great price too!

I see Heddels has put up 'a guide to the Lee Stormrider' using some of my pics again (1950's jacket on page 1).
I wouldn't mind but the guide is fairly vague, with a few obvious mistakes, with the early part shaky at best.

With so much info out there l'm suprised to see such a poor effort imo.
Maybe l should do one?
Oh wait, why bother when they'll just nick my pics again anyway

Dont think I'll bother with getting that new hosting site sorted now.

It's not the giving of due credit that annoys me most here, as they've also used pics from the 501 Thrifter's thread in their Levis 'history of..' in the past (they credit Denimbro only).
It's just the poor write up of something that l am really passionate about (and fairy knowledgeable of), yet seems as though it's taken 5 minutes to write with some quick copy and paste examples from ebay.
I mean come on! Just put some actual effort into it ffs!

Rant over
