If someone told me- I would be going on dirt bike riding trips, with my daughters boyfriens family,
you would get a puzzled look from me.

We haven't been on a dirt bike riding trip only, since the mid 90's
The totally awesome bike you see here, is a 1990 Honda CR 250 two stroke.
My cousin was desperate for dough 4 years ago, and  I gave him $500 for the bike.

This bike has been out of service for so long, anything rubber, is falling apart.
I had to make my own- chain roller bushing out of duct tape.

Installed, I didnt tighten it down enough first round, it ended up falling off 3 miles away from camp.
People at camp didnt have much faith, when i set out to find my practically factory fabricated part, they didnt know- when i set out to find something, I find it.

At the top of memorial hill, one of the people from our camp, tore his front wheel off.
These guys are heavy machinery mechanics, in 2 hours they had the wheel welded back on, and back at camp.

A view from the hill, these guys had to make the repair in the dark

Cold weather food, we brought most of what we ate from home.
Nonriveted calls this egg-chorizo-baccon pizza
add some salsa and a little sour cream
Not for everyone, but it tastes pretty darn good.

Blackened left boot from my shifter

The second from the last day, we rode 10 miles into town and had pizza.
This is the off road parking lot at the pizza place in California City.

Nonriveted and I, took the boyfriend and brother out on a one day ride.
In true 2020 fashion, the last ride ended with a high speed crash, that I road up
on, Luckily the boyfriend seems to be in all one piece, just to make sure- he's getting
checked out for any kind of head injuries.

here are some desert pics from yesterday.

I showed the boys how they made the Star Wars blaster sound effect, I took a rock and pounded
against the steel cables.
