Discovered deep inside a historic hard rock mine near Virginia City, Nevada, this rare pair of Levi’s 501XX work jeans (circa 1922–1936) remained untouched for nearly a century. Still bearing hallmarks of the era — including a cinch-back buckle, riveted back pockets, leather patch remnants, and arcuate stitching — the jeans were found exactly as the miner left them, with one leg cuffed and rolled up. Their condition, wear, and even the rolled cuff tell the story of a working miner’s life underground.
