II currently have the option of bying a 506xx type 1 jacket.

One sided big red Tab
Copper rivets
Button stamp R
Redline selvedge
No labels or tags

As far as I know, the R stamp should make it true vintage.
The redline selvedge though Puts me off.
I've never seen a vintage 506xx with redline selvedge.

Does anyone know more or has seen a 506xx with those Details before?

I can't speak with authority about the redline in jackets, but I would assume it to be appropriate.  The pictures were giving a strong legit vintage vibe. Until I got to the buckle.  I hesitate to mention it as I could be mistaken, but I was under the impression that only repros had the crossbar over the buckle points.  Don't take it as a definitive indictment, but maybe research that element a little more.

Looks great anyhow.
My coat has nine buttons, but I always fascinate.

I think I've seen a number or a letter on the back of a button, that's also important.
