The fabrics look great.

Ishamel,

I always thought FW intentionally uses Cremens instead of Clemens

Depends on the fit you want I guess.

But in any case my Trackwalker only shrank perhaps 1-2% - nominal.

Thanks for all the replies. I'll go with a 16 since that's my other FW shirt is.

Snake,

I didn't talk with Yasui-san about it. It's possible that it was an intentional alteration of Clemens. But it's odd that the illustration of SLC is titled "Clemens". I'll ask Yasui the next time I see him.

Is this the comedy 'r' v 'l' confusion associated with people from East Asia?

The r vs l confusion is more of a Japanese language hurdle. Korean, for example, does not have "f" sound so it's the f vs p confusion.

Ishmael, I see the the illustration you posted just now. I guess you are probably right about the tag being a mistake vs intentional.

Perhaps the best evidence for it being a mistake is simply that I've never seen FW intentionally misspell anything.

Pretty amazing that with all their attention to detail (consider for example that Komori-san hand drew those illustrations of Boone and Clemens for a tag that is folded inside the back pocket) they can make simple spelling errors. Just shows how completely oblivious the Japanese are to the distinction we make between r and l.

The rustic red deer skin looks nice. Perfect color choice for a vest.

I wonder if it's the photo or variations in the deerskins, but the rustic red there looks a lot less pink than the photos of the long coat.  More like I'd have expected the coat to look with some wear.
I make things out of leather.
