HaHa - Yes I guess that would be !!
A couple of members from another well-known forum kept asking me to do this (for sh*ts and giggles) but the answer is no. I've tried the jacket and waistcoat on once, individually.  The pants I've had several pairs of so know the fit.  Dont really want to break/bend the labels any more.  They're just such beautifull items - want to keep them the way they are.  And they were made at the Valencia st. factory so the last of it's kind.
Although in 2010 the duck pants were revived (although they were the yokeless model - we know this now thanks to the wonderfull discoveries made by Sansome) - and made from the same fabric.

Here are the photos I took of the 1873 duck 'closed front jumper' before I sold it to bandit -

Just a little geekism, to add to erk's 1955 review.  The templates for the backpocket arcs of the '55 repro have changed over the years (much the same as the '47's).  Here is the first change, from the early orange tag 555 made 55's to the salmon-pink 555 made 55's (only a few month's difference.

On the left is the latter, on the right is the earliest variant.  Notice how the left-hand side of the arc on the salmon-pink tagged 55's are flattish, whereas the early orange tagged 55's have a simmetrical arc.  I've seen many pairs of both and it's always the same.  This is the sort of stuff I notice Confused

So, pocket arc from 09/96 -

08/97 -

From 2003 (button stamp #554), still have the chalk marks marking them out
(this is also where the sizing started to go all over the place) -

from 2005: Getting a little shaky and this is where the problems start -

from 2010: Not entirely clear, but really awfull shaky stitching  (sorry abou the quality - blown up from original image via photobucket) -

I'll get me coat.

Excellent fit on the 55s erk.

Here's some detail shots of my 1922s.  Four months old, roughly 2 to 2 1/2  months of wear.  Had hoped to only do hand washes with these, but they were so big when I got them I had to give them two hot machine washes before wearing.  Bought a size 36 (usually wear 38 in LVC), wish I could have gone down to a size 34 waist, because there's a lot of room in seat and legs in these. Wound up cutting off the cinch because the straps were too short to be of use, it was in the way since it had to go under the back belt loop (and I always wear a belt), and one of the shitty buckle prongs broke off. Darker blue than other pair of LVC I've ever had, and they're slow wearers.  Just starting to get hints of fading at the whiskers and thighs.  Going to put off washing these again until at least April.

Some of the details of what are currently my favorite pair of 501s, the 1966.  need to bring my camera home from the office and try to get some decent fit pix of these and my 1922s.

Tagged 38X36, but hemmed down to a 30 1/2" inseam by BiG to be worn sorta 60s style short.  No cuffs on late 60s Levis!

Setterman, did you hammer those rivets on your 22s for the authentic flat-top look?
