I’m looking at some 44 501s but wondered about sizing with new denim/manufacture. I’m a 31 waist and thinking I need a 33 prewash. Can someone confirm?

I have an older pair of 44s. They definitely shrank two inches in the waist.

We’re they oversized to begin? Cultism is staying true to size prewash

Hmm. LVC might have changed their format. Mine were tagged 36 & shrunk to that after washing. In other words, yes they were oversized by two inches.
I would email them and make sure. In my experience Cultizm are good communicaters.

Yeah, I emailed Cultizm and they confirmed that the v2 1944 measures true to tagged size.

Is anyone else as unenthused as I am about LVCs production move to Bulgaria?
I’ve heard some reports about Bulgaria being sub par on labor conditions and pay, and I’m guessing their education system isn’t all that it could be, given that there was a lot of rioting there recently brought on by a hysteria that foreign countries (led by Denmark?!?) were kidnapping their children to sell them to western gay couples. Let alone reports of falling quality- though there are always those whenever any production change happens. Too soon to tell on that I suppose. Does anyone care about LVC going forward or will the only interest be in their golden/silver ages pre 2020? |

I'm sorry to hear that about Bulgaria. I've never been there but I have been to Rumania a couple of times & while I enjoyed the place I could see that there were definitely some rough edges.
As for LVC, it's been quite a while since they've made anything that has captured my interest.
I like their 1944 cut. I often think about getting another pair but then when I get to the point when I'm ready to buy I always opt for trying out something new from another brand. |

I've not seen the Bulgaria stuff in person, so too early to tell for me, but as others have mentioned the 1944s look nice with those striped pocket bags
I believe AB Fits and Aero Leather have some of the older Cone offerings still
