My daughters have been collecting and hatching- Monarch butterfly's for years.
The youngest daughter has ramped up the collecting, we have a large amount of milk weed on our property.

In some ways our productivity seems to have ramped up-in all those areas that usually get short changed due to work and social obligations.
I’m just approaching the finish line on my apartment getting repainted, and have done a lot of reorganizing and starting smaller projects around the house that I’ve not had time for for years. Next week I’ll try to organize my clothes and sort my jeans- after that my pots and pans cabinet will be fearing the sound of my approaching footsteps.

Sansome- why do the cocoons get hung on string?

That’s how you find them in the wild- hanging from something- we usually have a few hanging from the window sills outside.

This is my first day off work in 2 1/2 weeks, 2 weeks ago i came home from work to find the Ladies of the house- took one of my projects off my plate. The scrap yard was foraged for items that would act as garden walls....I like what they came up with, much better than what I was going to do.

The macrame pant holder with attached cocoons is kind of extra.
I know of several stores in SF that would sell those for a small fortune.

I agree, it’s kind of extra- can’t say I noticed it until you pointed it out.

It's making me think of that caption contest we had with the photo of Pam Grier. (There was a similar macrame item involved...).

I’m always looking for dropped $$, during the 19 lockdown- business is booming.
I would say, dropped change is up 30-40 percent...found a ten spot a month back.
Anyone else here with this hobby?
