I took hundreds of photos and I’ll be posting them over the next few days.
Ran into the most dapper dude at the show- CSL and his main squeeze, spotted
Dude but we didn’t get a chance to talk.

Yeah I'm sorry I missed you! I left early on Saturday and I had to watch Himel's booth a lot during his endless smoking breaks :P

Was a fun show again, though.

Good seeing Dude & Sansome. Didn't run into any other Bros. Saw the Standard & Strange crew,  Christophe from MF & various vintage folks that I've known for years. Made purchases from the delightful Hiro & Endo of Ooe Yufukuten. Also a couple of items from Trophy Clothing whose stuff I had never seen in person before. A nice surprise, it turned out one of the guys, Egawa, had seen me perform in Nagoya about twenty years ago.

Number 11 for me, Iv'e been to all 11 shows in LA. This one- by far was the most low key, I had
one visitor at my place booked for the weekend- He went to the show and decided to drive back
to the bay area, right after the first day. So basically my job was,  to help out Indiana jeans\ Brit
work his booth. 10% gofer boy-40% take whatever pictures i want, the rest was a bunch of random stuff.

This was the second year- Inspiration was held at the LA convention center- It has that
being in the grand canyon type of feel.

Some of the best shit- never makes it off the loading docks
in18 by bottleswest, on Flickr

My badge.
in16 by bottleswest, on Flickr

While i was on the ladder- I spotted this cat.
In all my 11 years- Ive never seen this.

He walked into the booth.

What I like about inspiration- You ask-  can I take your picture, you never hear No
Then you get some people- that want to crowbar there way into every photo Wink

A dapper dude

Your in the F-ing walkway!
willis by bottleswest, on Flickr

Our neighbor Willis- hung out with him before- A cool cat out of Fresno

poots2 by bottleswest, on Flickr

Poots- These were our booth tennants- Indiana Jeans had 4 spaces- these cool dudes from NY
shared 1\4 our space. First night after the show- We all hung out in IJ's van, out in the parking lot.
I walked 5 blocks, just to get these dudes some beer ( I brought my razor scooter the next day)

CSL and his lovely Lady.

Indiana Jeans got ahold of these 50's Levi banners, that were used as drop cloths on this Ranch

Doc and I were geeking out, on some of these was tags
Here is a double stitch made in December of 1977- it has
a 8% wash tag- we suspect that double stitch started earlier on- sometime
in 1977......Now that we can date what month and year they were made.

Spotted Highgrade US standard from my ladder.
One of the most interesting items at the show-
was in his bag. Check out his feed on Instigram-
and you'll  know what im talking about.

Our old pal and fellow Denimbro- DOM

in15 by bottleswest, on Flickr

Our vintage T-shirt neighbor.

in7 by bottleswest, on Flickr

Another booth neighbor- out of Fresno

bobby G by bottleswest, on Flickr

At least Bobby Green can take a good photo.
I delivered a porcelain sign that he bought off
Indiana Beans- when he's full of it Wink

More booth neighbors

in3 by bottleswest, on Flickr
in4 by bottleswest, on Flickr

More neighbors that used vintage cloth- to make clothing- I cared for this

More tomorrow

Thanks for capturing these, Sansome. I shoulda taken more. Thought there might be a Denimbro get-together photo op but sadly not.

I agree the atmosphere was very subdued compared to the other two I attended. Everybody said it was due to the XL space, high ceiling, unfriendly light, etc.

I still enjoyed it. The opportunity to see & handle clothing in person before buying seems a rarity in our world these days so that counts for something. Also it was nice to have real conversations with my vintage friends as opposed to the short greetings we usually exchange in the noisy barroom situations where our paths cross most.
