Hey guys, if you've been following my IG you might have seen that I've started my own brand; my first shirt is out now, made with John Lofgren, the Heracles chambray shirt. The idea is to combine made in Japan quality work and materials with an emphasis on Western body types.
The shirt is made of 5 oz. selvedge chambray, milled in Japan; details include triple chain stitching along main seams, shoulder and back yoke, ventilation holes, reinforced elbows, and painted metal buttons. |

Thanks Mr. Black; it's just one piece at a time right now as it's pricey to make these kinds of shirts, however the next run will likely be the same shirt in ecru chambray. After that, the sky's the limit though! I have designs for a denim shirt, T-shirt, aloha shirt, and Western-style wabash pullover sitting in front of me.

Thanks guys! Yes, the color and heft to the fabric is very nice; just one of the benefits of meeting John in Sendai was being able to look over fabrics in person.
And, order #1 is off!

Nice shirt, the buttons and back yoke are reminiscent of the 'Mechanic Shirt' which is a shirt that i really like.
Whats the story with the venting above the yoke? is this a detail that you've reproduced from vintage/elsewhere or just a design feature. I get the reason for the pit-vents where material becomes compressed. |

Thanks Foxy, I was guessing it was you! Not sure why it's listed as 1001.
Thanks Double O; yes, the idea came from the old Powr-House shirts, which was part of the inspiration for this shirt (this shirt is not an exact repro of one specific older model though); As for why Powr-House went with back vents, it's only my guess but a look at a heat map of the body like the one below shows that the upper back is one of the sweatiest parts of the body. |

Yep that figures, its pretty cold where i live/work so i don't suffer from sweating very often.
If you would like somebody to beat the shit out of one.. y'know in a 'workwear' environment, just give me a holla. My rates would be very reasonable for this service, especially for a fellow denimbro |
