They look legit. What doesn't look OK for a 501 is this
But I have seen lots of  different  501's "local versions" made in USA

Last week I found the exact pant (not size) but same wash tag placement, and that’s what I think is rare here- so I checked
The one I have, turned out to be the same month and year, same button number...544 doesn’t seem like a number I come across, does anyone know what factory that falls under?

This is also right before the 501 gets printed on the back label- note this one is still ink stamped.

Maybe the number should be 299 and the last number got missed. 299 was a UK plant number but not sure which factory. I know that Shrink to Fits were manufactured in Uddingston near Glasgow and I have a couple of pairs of them. They carried the Tags that said "Made to original USA Specification". They did have black overstitch on rear pockets etc.
