Thanks 00.
I think some of it could be the photos and my frame combined with the engineers. They are slightly tapered, although I can easily hike them up to my knee if need be. Overall I'm happy with them, they're something completely different from anything I own.

I like them Broark but im surprised by how roomy the seat/top block is compared to the slimmer/tapered lower leg, i thought the same as slab re-straight but they def look tapered when worn.

I think the knee pads suit them really well actually. They are one of the more interesting jeans I've seen in a while.

Pants look gorgeous. Wiuld love to see a fit picture. S&S talk about a tapered fit but looks like a straight fit to me ?

maybe it's just an optical illusion but the s&s hem looks wider (i prefer thin hems). also there are more overlapping threads on where the chainstitch meets on the s&s hem, which looks less neat.

Here are some post wash photos. Also threw them in the dryer to get all the shrink out.
There's your hem comparison, the original is on top and the S&S job is on bottom. A bit more orange than the original but I've never seen thread color like this before so probably difficult to match.
