This is an amazing shot, Librarian.  The original Rosie the Riveters?   I love little Tinker Bell's prim and ladylike posture sat atop the cow-catcher.  The lady on the left looks like she belongs on a labour movement mural.

Nice one buler! those glasses could be eye-protection from welding flash or maybe dynamite blast or something...? he's got a thick welders type glove and some kind of lamp in his hand so id assume he can see.

I just know that the photo description said "blind miner". But that may have been an assumption based on the eyewear. I wish the photos had full, reliable descriptions and dates.
