You're right.  Nick's does make an engineer boot.  Their website lists the Engineer Boot 55E and Renegade Boot 55E.  Their Instagram feed shows much more savory engineer boots than ones available on their webstore.  The feed also shows leather sources such as Seidel and Horween.

Apparently per their Facebook feed, those latest Engineer boots are horse hide btw...

Here is a recent photo of my Wesco engineer boots in brown: MP, #705 sole, double midsole, Okuyama brass roller buckles.

Those Wesco's look great!  As does the modified sea bag.  I have a very similar modified sea bag I carry daily.  Perhaps we need a bag thread?

How easy is it to swap at the buckles? Can your cobbler do it?
